History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Bertram was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Scribe. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Aldous was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Aldous was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
