History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Masseuse for the past few years.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
