Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Heward and his spouse have recently divorced.

Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Diggory never married again.
