He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and someone believes him a fraud

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: Randal speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
