Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. The war was a terrible time for him, and Charles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Miller, but he got bored and became a Scribe. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Scribe for the past few years.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Personality: Geoffrey is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Geoffrey liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Ernest was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He tends to his Spy job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Herbalist arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
