History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Gerard abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Norman hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Norman alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His first spouse was a Cartwright, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
