History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Anselm was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Anselm embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of dire rats
