History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Manfred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Manfred was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

History: He was born into a rich family. He found a children's book about a Human Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Description: His right side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep red leather and dull tan iron scale mail. His chestnut hair is matted, messy, and big. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. The war was a terrible time for him, and Jocelyn does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle
