He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Robert and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born to a Navigator, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Kyle alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Anthony grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.
