Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Gifted from a young age, Richard studied abroad. His parents enrolled him in a Aristocrat school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
