History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Through the years after Gerald was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
