History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. Shane liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Beggar born in the past three hundred years. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Shane was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Priest, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Healer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
