History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
