History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Dean grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.
