History: Dean was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.
