Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Hugh isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Tailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Hugh and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: Henry hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and revenge

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Brewer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Cook, and he later adopted a second son.
