History: Chad hails from a village terrorized by brigands. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against brigands

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Aldous embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aldous was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he is unsatisfied with his job
