Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Hubert is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

Jocelyn enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
