History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Painter. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Kody was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's also a talented Jeweler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and balancing his hectic life and new mortician responsibilities is difficult
