History: Shane lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His childhood dream was to be a Bookbinder, but he was a colossal failure. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Herbalist responsibilities is difficult; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
