History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Arnold lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Laborer for hire.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has set out to sabotage the competition.
