Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Charles's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mercenary but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
