History: Nicholas lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Thomas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
