Through the years after Lance was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Lance's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Lance and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town.
