History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new layabout responsibilities is difficult

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
