He found a children's book about a Human Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Theodoric was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Fisher. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
