His mother taught him the rudiments of the Masseuse arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
