His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting goblins, the young Diggory began to lead the lost caravan. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and revenge
