He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Performer, and he later adopted a second son.

He found a children's book about a Human Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: Adelard was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Peter was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east.
