History: Born to a Tailor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Bernard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Farmer for hire.
