Upon awakening, Conrad discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Conrad fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Carter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bricklayer, and he later adopted a second son.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He found a children's book about a Human Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
