History: Theodoric lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Theodoric alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
