Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He has a large brown mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his white robe. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Knight work with an outfit from a few towns over. Knight work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Ralf was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
