History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Masseuse hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Gerald was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Richard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Richard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
