History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Ernest was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Ernest's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Roland was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy
