History: Reynard hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Reynard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He is mildly Human supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
