Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a brown shirt with thin grey vertical stripes and yellow pants. His chestnut hair and beard is wavy and long. He is baby faced.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Aldous was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'3" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His black hair is long and unkept. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To be a Guard again; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a tan vest and prefers black and grey shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down, and is pretty ugly. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His eyes are gray and beady.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: Jocelyn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He worked as a nervous Ruler and found it very stressful. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: A 6'1" northern man, he wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). He has a very tight haircut. His eyes are likewise amber. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His parents enrolled him in a Adept school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty violet coat over it, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'9" when asserting himself. His blonde hair is thinning but still full. His amber eyes peer out from beneath his feathered violet hat.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Dean embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. When Dean reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. After a long history of fighting, Dean and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.
