When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He tends to his Gardener job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Ernest isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Weaver hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
