Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Roland hails from a village terrorized by giants. He found a children's book about a Human Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature glaive.

History: Reynard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Reynard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
