History: Born to a Tanner, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: He is a Knight first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Cory's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Cory was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Cory's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Fisher arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
