History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Patrick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Gifted from a young age, Frederick studied abroad. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.
