He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born in the south. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
