History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with his Body Guard mother left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His auburn hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His gray eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
