Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.
