History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Through the years after Trym was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Trym's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Bernard was born with his father's beautiful face. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
