History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Bernard was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
