History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has worked as a Barrister like his father before him.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
