It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Gifted from a young age, Alex studied abroad. Through the years after Alex was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents enrolled him in a Ranger school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Roger was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
