He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a courier and was forced into it by his family
