When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Geoffrey never married again.
